About SOCA
Our
Association covers most of 'historic' Somerset, and we
currently have a membership of about 60 people of all ages.
Some meetings are on Saturdays, and some on weekdays (but
avoiding Thursdays and Fridays - choir practice nights!)
We arrange
all sorts of events for our members, including:

talks
on choir training, service playing, choosing music for
choirs and organists, and organ construction.

recitals by the most promising of young organists.

visits
to cathedrals and important churches to hear choirs and
organs.

social
evenings with music and food.

annual dinner.

to organ builders.

In summary,
we are here to encourage organists and musicians of all
abilities to develop their skill and expertise, to arrange
concerts, talks and meetings for our members, and to foster
within Somerset a more enlightened interest in the music of
the church.
